A Rail Heritage Experience

The Helensville Railway Station is well worth a stop when visiting Helensville
Ginger Crunch Cafe is open Tuesday to Sunday from 8am to 3pm
The Shoppe Artists and Crafters Collective open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 3pm.
Railway Museum Our railway collection including a working model of Helensville in the 1950s, railway artifacts and local railway pictorial exhibition is in our museum building and can be viewed. You can also see a display of our working train control tablet machines guiding a train between Helensville and Kaukapakapa. See the Home Page for more details of when the railway museum is open.
1881 steam locomotive D170 loaned from Museum of Transport & Technology in Auckland is also on static display at the station.
On weekdays one Kiwirail freight train passes Helensville northbound on its journey between Auckland and Whangarei late morning and a train passes through southbound in the evening..
